Preparation is the key to managing any productive meeting, but thorough preparation is vital to the success of any conference call. Preparation begins with the meeting agenda. In addition to ensuring the very quality and structure of agenda itself, the conference call leader must also have the agenda ready in sufficient time for advance distribution.  And, to ensure full participation and attendance, your agenda should include all vital statistics about the call, including dial-in numbers, passcodes and related information. You can almost guarantee that your call will get off on the wrong foot if participants lack the correct information to join in on the meeting.

Product qualified leads are contacts who've used your product and taken actions that indicate interest in becoming a paying customer. PQLs typically exist for companies who offer a product trial or a free or limited version of their product (like HubSpot!) with options to upgrade, which is where your sales team comes in. An example of a PQL is a customer who uses your free version but engages or asks about features that are only available upon payment.

A lot of database companies will try and sell you on the fact that they have specific names and e-mail addresses but these are not hard to figure out as I show in another article. Also, it is unlikely you will get a list of the perfect contacts that you will be able to call and they turn out to be the right person (another reason I encourage doing the work!).
For each of the sources of free sales leads listed below, you will still have to put some work into creating a sales lead sheet in Excel or in your Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application if you use one. After reading this article you should have no problem compiling lists of companies for you to contact and I tackle the question of identifying contacts within each company in another article.

You also may want to consider internal factors, like making sure all of your sales reps have hot leads to work, rewarding top-performing reps with the most promising leads, or other strategies that work for your business and culture. Different sales organizations distribute leads differently, but however you choose to handle it, lead management tools can help.
Your lead generation strategy needs to be as dynamic as the people you’re targeting. Trends change, behaviors shift, opinions morph … so should your lead gen marketing. Use A/B split testing to see what CTAs perform best, which landing pages convert better, and which copy captures your target audience. Experiment with layout changes, design, UX, content, and advertising channels until you find what works.

Trying going to WhitePages.com and typing in your city and the kind of company you are looking to target to see what kind of results you get. This is the same as just picking up you copy of the YellowPages or WhitePages and going through it.
