1. Call them back as quickly as possible. As we said at the start of this article, today’s customer is incredibly educated about what they’re buying. They take control of the buying process way before you enter the picture, leveraging all of that online information we talked about earlier. Still, if you’ve identified them as a lead, that means they are at least someone interested in what you’re selling. Your job, then, is to help them learn more — about your product or service, about industry trends, and about successful customers they can relate to and be inspired by.

Make that strong, quick connection. Show people you are there. A real, living, breathing human. I started including videos with every post and noticed an instant increase in responses. People can see me. They know I’m real. We forget this, and the whole online trust issue….and calling leads and showing up on video over and over lets people know you are a real, living person who cares for others and intends to be there for them.
